Cheery Flowers to Pick You Up!

Welcome from the Card a Day Blog!

This week’s theme is Get Well Soon.  For what cheers me up when I’m feeling under the weather, there is nothing better (except perhaps for chicken soup) that cheers me up like flowers or cheerful colors!

I made this simple card in a flash, using the print and cut feature of my silhouette cutter.  The tulip bouquet was from the silhouette store. I cut extra bow and flowers from the shape so I could attach them with dimensional adhesive, so they could pop out a bit.

I added some “bling” with metallic markers and glitter pens, and a wavy faux stitched line across the card. Simple, but just enough to add some pizzazz!

  1. Beautiful card, oh I keep seeing all these fantastic pieces being made with the silhouette, I just might have to break down and get one.

    1. When I first bought it, I didn't print and cut that much... but now, I realize how nice it is to be able to design and cut out a neat card with one sheet of paper! I'm trying to talk myself out of buying a Zing, which would cut with enough force to do chipboard and stuff that would keep me way to busy crafting with LOL

  2. Hi Shelly,

Great Cards, love the Spring colors and the tulips! Makes me think Spring is right around the corner, (well not close enough) but closer than it was. Hope you are doing well up there. :-)

    1. Sadly I was coming down with a cold when I was making this card.... I hope the sentiment works for me, that I'll be as good as gold and back at work soon! I hope we will be blessed to have one of your cards entered into our challenges here at the card a day blog too Mitchell!
